Private Sessions with Personalised Programs

PSYCHOLOGY

Caroline understands that making change can be difficult and as a support to her one-on-one private sessions she has put together a number of programs based on evidence-based research that assist with setting a foundation to support ongoing change. These programs have been designed based on her 20 plus years of experience and training.

Programs may entail a series of one-to-one or group sessions over a period of time as discussed with each client and per specific needs. Programs generally consist of up to 6 sessions, delivered over a set period of time, each session building on the next and after 6 sessions a review is completed to assess what next steps can be taken to support with continued change and evolution.

Caroline understands committing to healing and change can be a challenging process and states, “If we are not careful, we can become overburdened by wanting to change everything all at once and overwhelmed by what needs changing.  If we are not aware of this, we can put further strain on ourselves and in fact make our situations more difficult and problematic”.  The key to true change is to take it one step at a time, dealing with one issue at a time.  To take on more than that can be confusing, overwhelming and ultimately very difficult.  To support this Caroline has observed that clients respond much more positively when put on specific programs that meet their individual needs.  Programs offer a level of consistency and purpose that support us to say focused and committed to what it is we are wanting to change and decreases any feelings of overwhelm and stress.

Over the years Caroline has identified a number of key areas where programs can be applied these include:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Stress, Exhaustion and Over-whelm

  • Self-worth

  • Self-esteem and confidence

  • Expression and Communication

  • Isolation and Loneliness

  • Internal Negative Self talk

  • Conflict Resolution

  • Self-development and empowerment

  • Self-Care

  • Lifestyle Medicine

What lies behind and what lies before

ANXIETY

Anxiety can be a debilitating condition and sadly is becoming more and more common (put in stats). Anxiety can range from slight anxiety whereby we try and avoid a particular, event, situation or person to full blow anxiety that can impact on every area of our lives. Caroline has observed that often anxiety comes from an individual’s feeling of being unequipped to deal with life or fear of not being able to handle a situation that lies in front of them. Caroline has put together a program that supports individuals to see what underlying causes run the anxiety and puts in place a number of strategies that assist in making gradual and ongoing change by empowering them to understand they have an innate power and wisdom to support them deal with any situation that may lie before them.

STRESS

It is uncommon today to hear of someone that is not stressed, overwhelmed or exhausted. Stress and exhaustion has become such a common part of our lives that we now consider it normal to experience stress at different points of our lives and to generally feel exhausted, pushing through till the end of the day or until our next holiday.  And although different situations and events in life can technically be stressful there is a way we can live that enables us to not take on that stress and its ensuing exhaustion.  Developing a way of living and identifying behaviours that enable us to take on stress are the first steps to decreasing stress in our lives.  This program offers us not only the opportunity to de-stress it provides us with ways to deal with difficult life situations without taking stress on.

DEPRESSION

Depression can literally impact on every area of your life. The impact on our families, relationships and colleagues can be far reaching and devastating as well as on a person’s own sense of self and overall health and well-being. Caroline has noted that many people who experience non clinically diagnosed depression have a sense of hopelessness, whereby they find it difficult to express their feelings and take control of their own lives.

Caroline provides a platform for individuals to gain an easy understanding of what depression is and what steps can be taken to start to bring about change and gain back control of one’s life. Including increasing one’s ability to express how they feel and take charge back of their life by gaining the ability to say no to what does not work or suit them any longer.
